Queen Anne's Lace

Here is my second offering on the Country View Crafts blog on the topic of "Flower Power".
For this, I chose to feature a wild flower called..."Queen Anne's Lace"    otherwise known as "Wild Carrot".

I began by black gessoing my page and applying layers of glorious Heavy Body Acrylic Paint by Dina Wakley. I drew the stars around the moon with Posca pen and also added a "stitched" border.

I stamped and heat embossed with white, the flowers from one of my favourite sets by Paperartsy HP1005 and then die cut some flowers from a new set of Sue Wilson dies called Queen Anne's lace. The die cuts are from off cuts of gold coloured card.
Finally, a few words from TH Ideology small talk.
There is just one week left to join in with our challenge and a chance to win the £20 prize. Good luck!

Products used:- Black gesso; Dina Paints; HP1005; Craft Dies; Small Talk.

Unforgettable.

My first piece of art for the Flower Power challenge over on the Country View Crafts blog was determined by my choice of TH flower stamp, which I adore.

I began by Gessoing a page in my Girl's Annual, adding neutral fresco paints and choosing some papers to show off the flowers.

I stamped the flowers onto some sturdy watercolour paper and painted them very roughly with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

I cut them out so that there was some of the cream background still there in order to make them stand out from the background.
I assembled my chosen papers and aged them a little, and added a poem from a book by Wordsworth.
The key just gave some added interest to the story.
I hope that this, and the fabulous work of my teams has inspired you to enter our challenge.
Thanks for looking.
